Static on the Radio, 2020

"Static on the Radio" is a site-specific composition created to pay homage to the space's former history as the Major League Baseball offices. Texeira creates "memory-maps", abstractions full of symbols and colors that tell of a particular place and time. This composition draws from baseball uniform stripes, home run and strikeout symbols, a baseball field, a scoreboard and so on. The title "Static on the Radio" derives from her nostalgia of listening to games on the radio in her father's car as a child.
